This is a custom 300 gallon wall aquarium that was built into the cavity under a staircase.
The top of the tank is accessed by an oak panel that flips up.
The sump filtration system is accessed through a hidden door in an adjacent bathroom. Once the baseboard section is removed, a magnet is placed on just the right spot to open a magnetic catch which releases the door. A water source and a drain were added to this hidden room for ease of maintenance.
I provided the tank and equipment while the mill work was done by a remodeling company. This tank has grossed over $15,000 for the last 13 years and averages out to $85 per hour.
